HOW WILL THE ENTERTAINMENT INDUSTRY SHAPE UP THIS YEAR WITH THE PANDEMIC

2021 has started a lot like last year, in January alone there have been more covid deaths with reported new strains of the covid virus across the country and worldwide.

New measures have been put in place to contain the virus, in what would seem like a mini lock down. Limited public gatherings, curfews in recreational places and what not. So what does this really mean for our entertainment industry?

Last year it was heavily hit, we witnessed many artists fell of because they couldn't adapt, event organizers didn't make much money either because... Well, there were no shows to organize!

So what should artists and various entertainments acts do to weather this storm? Lessons must be learnt from last year, there is no excuse this year. The future of our Entertainment Industry is on the web and that must the new normal.

Entertainment acts must learn to make use of the internet and the various platforms present. Whether selling music, live shows, fan engagements or other activities, they should all be done on the internet. Tay Grin recently racked up crazy numbers on his Instagram Live viewership and this is a testament that if artists made use of this it'd most certainly ensure their relevance.

The internet cost in the country is ridiculous but sacrifices must be made if we're to sustain our industry, both fans and entertainment acts have a role play, we're in this together!
